Other Tributes

He was my boss, my guide, my mentor and most importantly a source of inspiration to work on socially relevant issues. I am doing what I am, and the way I am because of his guidance. I will remember him as a keen observer, a thorough analyst, an energy expert and most importantly as a true activist who protected the interests of the weaker sections of the society. I don't think I can ever put in words what a big loss it is to our community! I just hope that I can imbibe some of his values, and do the work that will make him happy wherever he is!

I've known Girish for only the last 4 months, but have gained a lot of respect for him during this time. I have been eagerly looking forward to his mentorship, and then this. I will certainly miss his warmth and insights on the power sector and the world around us. Yet, it seems that he is still around when you look at something and reflect "How would Girish have responded to this?".
