Girish, it was a shock to hear that you have left us. Your contribution to the work in the BASIC expert group gave us the opportunity to get to know you. I was struck how your inputs into the complexities of multi-lateral climate talks were so firmly root in the realities of working at community level through Prayas. I’ve learned that you also climbed Himalayan mountains unassisted, and there was much in your work that went right from the ground. These things were well connected when we talked. You will be much missed, also in South Africa. I will treasure the memory of the time we had together, and we will take forward the work.
